Have you been yet? Is there a local farmers market in your community? What a great place to be! We love ours in Burleson!

I love the many familiar faces that visit week in and out. Some come to buy their weekly goods but some just come to see friends or socialize a bit.

I love the vendors that sell locally produced products. Great people with great products! Fruits, veggies, meat, baked goods, face painting, bounce houses, hand crafted goodies and of course coffee

It’s no longer “A” place to be on Saturday mornings… It’s “THE” place to be!

Visit your local farmers market or visit ours but definitely make it a Saturday morning event!

The landlocked country of Ethiopia is the second most populated country in Africa. Last year’s census approximated over 82 million people, most of which are Christians, while one third are Muslim.

Climate: Depending on where you are in Ethiopia, the environmental climates can range from cool temperate to hot. The rainfall there is just as diverse as the temperature patterns because of the country’s variances in topography. As a result of the many elevations in this area, precipitation also varies. Many of Africa’s highest points, as well as lowest points, are found in Ethiopia. You can also find a few waterfalls and even volcanic hot springs here.

Government: Through the years, Ethiopia has seen many different governments. Though for most of its history it has been a monarchy the current government system is a federal republic.

Culture: There are about 80 different groups in Ethiopia, making it multilingual, multicultural, as well as multiethnic. The two main ethnic groups are Oromo and Amhara. Both of these classes share one common language, Afro-Asiatic.

Economy: While its economy is rapidly growing, it is also facing quite a few structural problems. These structual problems have held Ethiopia back from gaining off of what natural, valuable resources. This has resulted for many, unfortunately, in poverty. As of right now, Ethiopia is the largest producer of honey and coffee in Africa.

Fun Facts: A couple more interesting facts about Ethiopia. It is the only country in the world that has 13 months in the year. Another cool coffee factoid is many believe that coffee first originated in Ethiopia.

.
